The Gannett-Tripp Library’s Research Help staff is dedicated to helping you solve your research problems. In-person and virtual Research Help service is available every day that the Gannett-Tripp Library is open.

Phone: (607) 735-1862

E-mail: (A librarian will reply within one business day when classes are in session.)

If you're having trouble finding material for a research project, you can schedule a research consultation. Contact Marge Kappanadze, Director of the Library, at (607) 735-1867 or at to make an appointment.

The GTL has borrowing agreements with other institutions for items not in our collections. Interlibrary loan services are available to all current Elmira College students, faculty, administrators and staff members.

Before submitting a request, please check Library Search to make sure that the item is not something owned by the Gannett-Tripp Library.

For details about using this service see the Interlibrary Loan page. As always, ask a library staff member if you need assistance.

Administrators and staff are welcome to use the computers in the Library. Use EC network user name and password to log in.

The Library has one Brother print-only printer and two Toshiba print-copy-scan printers on the first floor, plus printers in the Computer Labs in the Nathanson Computer Center on the terrace level. Printing is linked to each user's administrative account. The default setting for printers is double-sided, but can be changed for single-sided printing. Visit the IT Help Desk to set up wireless printing from laptops or other portable devices.

Color printing is available from the two Toshiba print-copy-scan printers on the Library's first floor.

There is no public fax machine in the library, but one is available in the Student Life office in the Campus Center.  Faxing is available for a fee at various locations in the Elmira area, including the Steele Memorial Library, Staples, and Copy Express.
